We built this because we lived the problem

Every year, millions of students pack a bag and move to a new city for education, often for the first time away from home. For most of them, and for the parents sending them, the first real decision isn't about coaching or university. It's about a room they've never seen, in a city they don't know, chosen under pressure, from a broker they just met.

Rooms4Me's founder, Priyanshu Kumar, has lived that exact reality — three years in Kota as a JEE aspirant, and firsthand experience of just how broken the room-finding process is: misleading photos, hidden charges, inflated broker commissions, and parents traveling long distances just to inspect a room in person, often settling for whatever's available rather than what's right.

We started Rooms4Me to fix that.

What we do

Rooms4Me is a digital platform that lets students and parents see a room before they commit to it — 360° virtual tours, verified listings, and direct booking, all from wherever they are. No broker fees stacked on top of rent. No misleading photos. No traveling to Kota just to be disappointed by what you find.

Here's how it works:

• Search & filter rooms by proximity to your coaching institute and your budget
• See it in 360° — inspect the room, washroom, and study area remotely as it is
• Lock it in with a small, secure online deposit
• Move in and pay rent digitally — no cash-in-hand broker transactions

Why it matters

The student housing economy is worth thousands of crores a year, yet the process of finding a room has stayed almost entirely offline, unorganized, and stacked against the very families it depends on. We're starting in Jawahar Nagar and Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, the heart of Kota's coaching hub, working directly with landlords and hostel owners to bring transparency to a market that's long overdue for it.

Our approach

We're not building this from a boardroom. Our team is on the ground in Kota — mapping hostels, capturing 360° tours ourselves, and talking directly to the landlords and parents who make this market work. Every feature we build starts from a real conversation with someone actually navigating this problem.
